Welcome to our “Music at Home” series! On the 15th day of each month, from now until June, 2013, we will introduce you to a favorite children’s artist, compilation or album that we think would be a great addition to your family musical collection. The tunes are catchy, the rhythms snappy and the lullabies are dreamy. For access to all of the posts in this series, click here!

Renee and Jeremy

I can’t believe it has taken me almost three years to introduce you to this fab duo.

Renee & Jeremy are parents and singer songwriters and in my eyes, a dream team of musicians.  For us picky music listeners, you can easily fall in love with their harmonies and how easily their voices fit together. As parents, you can pick up It’s a Big World and quickly be swooned by all of the lullaby-like tunes that may comfort you and your child.

For us therapists, educators and musicians, they have lyrics and chords available for download at the website.  Always a super plus for those of us who like to learn new tunes!

Okay, so it doesn’t fit with every idea about the anatomy of a children’s song (as I described in this post), however, it is extremely appealing to parents and children alike, the tunes are catchy and the voicing is beautiful. We give them an A+!

Be sure to check out their most recent album “A Little Love”, which is a wonderful mix of cover songs worth a little love! I’m particularly happy with their version of Shiny Happy People.

Be sure to check out all of their albums and Holiday singles at their web store.  And also be sure to click below to access a FREE SONG!
