Play: |’plâ|- n. the sponteneous activity of children (and adults)

Play is important in both the life of a child and that of an adult.  Play is a foundation of creative thought, imagination and teamwork.  Tomorrow, September 24, 2011 happens to be the Worldwide Day of Play and events across the nation are focused on just that… PLAY!  Museums, Parks, and Zoos are just some of the places offering free admission and several activities focused on the art of Play.  Last year, I was attending our IAMT Fall Meeting at the local college and so Developing Dad enjoyed the play day with Farrah.  You can read about that here.  This year, Developing Melodies, will be right in the thick of it and enjoying a day of play.

For those who are local, come out and join us! We will be located in Tipton Park and we will be… wait for it…. DRUMMING!  Drum circles and drum play lend themselves perfectly to this day of play.  Everyone can participate, everyone can be creative and everyone will be a part of something extraordinary.  We are very excited to have been asked to come down and play for the day!  Thanks Bloomington Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department!
